Day 6 of my makeup life – my makeup storage
Missed it? You can read from the start here:
Day 1: Once Upon a Time…
Day 2: I fell in love…
Day 3: With makeup…
Day 4: Found the meaning of makeup and fell in love more…
Day 5: With makeup packaging…
I love today’s question!
6. Take or draw a picture of your makeup storage and/or collection.
How brilliant. I was tagged by Neena sometime ago to show my makeup storage as well, so here’s me killing two birds with one stone. Hurhur.
I had so much fun taking photos, I thought ‘hey why not make a video instead? ‘ so I did.
You can watch the video to get a better idea of how everything is laid out, but if you rather have photos, then here are some of my favourites.
The centerpiece of my table, it’s really just a Lazy Susan with all my HG items on it. It also holds some sentimental things, some things that I’m currently trialling, and of course, my prized collection of liquid eyeliners.
Instead of trying to reach things at the back, I just spin it. Easy! I’m actually thinking of adding one more of these to the table. Maybe.
I actually thought I had more palettes than this, but apparently I don’t. There’s two Coastal Scents Palette, a huge Sephora 2010 Palette, the Naked Palette, and a lot of other smaller palettes. Need more giant palettes. Hm.
To be honest, I don’t like to keep too much around. I cull my collection maybe once or twice a month since I only have the one face anyways! So I like to move things on. My sister is just learning makeup, so I tend to give her stuff as well. Lucky gal.
What did you think of the way I store makeup?
Tip: Ikea is useful! Storage doesn’t have to be expensive either. Daiso and Tokuya in Melbourne are amazing for cheap and quality storage solutions.
