Long time readers will know my allegiance to the S.O.P.H.I.E. foundation. So when Illamasqua came up with their S.O.P.H.I.E. pencil, I couldn’t not buy it. Not to mention, $5 of each sale goes to the foundation, I had to do my bit.
But of course we want to know how the pencil holds up. Supporting a foundation is amazing, but the cherry on the cake would be if the pencil was amazing too.
I have to clarify something. I’m not big on pencils. I dislike the hard feeling of pencils on my eyes, and am forever paranoid that I will jab myself in the eye. I hate tightlining my eyes as I really do feel like I’m about to turn myself into cyclops. So actually using pencils is a huge thing for me.
Here’s what I think of it:
Creamy texture that is to-die-for. This didn’t hurt my skin at all and went on like butter. Hooray! Quite pigmented so it doesn’t take a lot to create a nice black line. I do like my liners to do the work for me instead of the other way around. As far as pencils go, I really like this one! If all pencils were like this, I’d actually start using pencil liners more.
Love it! My only regret is that I don’t have the S.O.P.H.I.E. wristband. The #MBBE girls got theirs at the Kelly Cutrone signing which I wasn’t able to attend personally although the Illamasqua girls very kindly help me obtain the book with a personalized signature to, so cue much envy as S.O.P.H.I.E. is my nominated charity and …. yeah.
Anyways, would I repurchase this liner? Yes! It helps my nominated charity and it’s a fabulous liner. What’s not to like?
