New Year Resolutions 2013: Blogging Edition

I thought long and hard about my new year resolutions for the blog. I really wanted to be better, after being kinda half-arsed about it for many months last year.

A lot of the resolutions I thought of were slightly silly, such as: blogging everyday, keeping a series I had started and persevering with it etc. But it seems silly to set yourself up for failure. I know that while I will try blog everyday, I might not always get there and is that an instant failure then?

So instead, I came up with a few New Year Resolutions that I think are good and wholesome, and generally, good for the soul.

What do you think? What are your New Year Resolutions, and are they specifically targeted towards blogging?

p/s: If you are reading from a RSS reader, you will have to click through to the blog to see my resolutions. Sorry! (RSS feeds don’t seem to pick up featured images, what a pity. I’m looking into a fix for that asap!)

They sound great :) The Keep Trying one is fantastic because it’s so easy to become disheartened. We must push through :)

YES! It’s so easy to give up, but so hard to keep trying. However, one must persevere.

That’s odd, I use Google Reader and can see your image via the RSS reader.

Yeah, the fix I put in allows some readers to see the image, some still don’t. =(

The plugin I just installed (because you just reminded me mine may not be working either) seems to work okay in google reader. You might have to hardcode it maybe into functions.php. I did some googling before and saw it in a couple of places. Bah! Haha

Yeah, google reader is able to read my featured images, I know firefox is able to as well. I’ve tried both the plugin and the hardcoding, but some other RSS readers are still unable to parse the feed properly to show the featured images =(

I have a few blogging-specific resolutions. I’d like to branch out with my writing and write about some more personal things, I’d like to start making a bit more money from my blog and I’d also like to finish moving all of my archives from my old blog over to my new one.
