Celeste Runs. You win. – Estée Lauder is onboard as well!

Hello, it’s Friday!

And in Pinktober, that means it’s time for another amazing giveaway. The first #pinktober giveaway was won by Michelle from Eat Paint.Sniff Glue. Congrats, miss! I’m ever so pleased!

I’ve left the biggest giveaway for the most important week – this weekend is D DAY! In which I will be running my 5km Race4life in support of breast cancer awareness in Adelaide!

So far, for all my efforts, I’ve managed to raise… $90 (it will appear on the site once I have finished collecting all the entries for all the giveaways) which means I’m about 45% of the way there to my goal of $200! Come on, ladies, let’s all work together towards this goal, shall we?

Please remember that :

For every entry I get on the giveaway, I will be donating $1 to the South Australian Cancer Council in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month.*

*Capped at $500 to ensure the survival of Celeste and her tummy.

Many of the products you see here are limited edition and possibly not on counters anymore! Thank you to Estée Lauder for being so supportive and jumping on board to support a great cause!

Winning this is easy. All you need to do is:

Tell me your favourite makeup story.
It can be about your first makeup memory, your favourite makeup product, or even about a makeup that you are dreaming about!

And for an extra entry, donate $1 or more on my fundraising page!
Remember to comment with the tax receipt number!

So what are you waiting for? Get Moving!!

Pink is the new black in October.

I’m back! Or at least, I hope to be. I’m still sick, you see. I have some kind of insane ultra strong flu strand that is still sticking around after 2 weeks. I think it might be one that is also called exhaustion.

But forget that. I can’t promise the regular twice daily posts for awhile yet since I’m still under the weather, but I’m going to try my darndest because I miss blogging!

In October, there’s actually going to be quite a lot of rather exciting things going on. For one, I have decided that I’d like to take up running long distance as a permanent hobby. That means, I’m going to be training to be able to run consistently and will be participating in runs as often as I can. Why is this blog-worthy? Because running is healthy and a form of exercise, the other is that I will be dedicating each run I do to a worthy cause and will be fundraising as much as possible for each run.

And seeing as October is also breast cancer awareness month, it seemed well-fitting to do Race 4 Life, which is a run based in Adelaide to raise awareness for breast cancer.

I am raising funds for the cancer council and you can find my fundraising page here. My goal is $200 for the run, and I’m highly nervous as I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to fundraise $10 let alone $200! But I’m going to be trying anyways, so if you have some spare cash laying around, please consider donating it to a good cause. Plus, it will keep me running!!

I will be putting up a progress bar on the side bar to show my fundraising progress – here’s hoping I get somewhere with it!

I normally do Frocktober but because I am already fundraising for Race4life, I won’t be actively pushing Frocktober as well. But if you do feel like supporting dresses instead of the pinks, then please head over to Frocktober’s website and follow the links to donate.

I won’t give too much away, but I have lots of activities lined up for the blog in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, so hang on to your hats and don’t forget to donate!

Nutrimetics – fundraise for your cause with lipsticks!

I don’t know about you, but I like to do my bit for my selected cause. I have a few that I hold close to heart: the RSPCA and S.O.P.H.I.E. being two of them. So whenever I see the chance to fundraise for them, I jump at it.

Nutrimetics is now giving you the chance to do just that and feed your makeup lust at the same time! I found out about this quite a while back but never really got around to blogging about it as I kept running out of time. But with orders closing this Sunday, I thought I better hurry up and tell you girls about it because you are going to miss out on your chance to do a good deed and score some fab lipsticks at the same time.

Before we get into the lipsticks, I have to say. I don’t do swatches for a reason. I’m rarely happy with how they turn out and I don’t like to feel that I am leading you on with colours that may not necessarily be 100% similar. Not to mention, too many differences between monitors means what I see and am happy with on my screen may not be what you see on yours and that irks me.

But it’s for a good cause, so I’ll be showing you swatches and they are poorly taken as they were taken with my phone since the swatching wasn’t really planned and it all came about quite quickly with hardly any notice. So you will have to pardon the poor quality photos and the the apparent different shades of my skin. I have tried to keep the swatches as accurate as possible on my screen but as always your screen and my screen are two very different things.

Nutrimetics is currently offering two types of lipsticks in this campaign. The colour list to the right shows the colours for the Intense moisturizing lipstick with SPF 18.

It’s hard to figure out what the colours actually look like from that tiny list there. So here are my swatches for it:

No, my skin is not two different shades. It’s just impossible to change my white balance on a phone.

The other range of lipsticks that Nutrimetics have in this campaign is their Classic Fusion Full Colour lipsticks. I personally prefer this range more as the colour is much more up my alley!

Here are the swatches for this range:

In terms of textures, both range of lipsticks are beautifully creamy, soft and lush. My biggest issue is that at only $10 dollars, I feel like I am allowed to go nuts on this, but how do I pick which colour!?

I definitely encourage you to pass the word on or pick up some for yourself. Every cent counts when it comes to donations, so do your good deed of the day and buy some lipstick!
